RELAX - mom's orders

This is the first line of an e-mail that I received from my mom today!

RELAX = definition from Mr. Dictionary:  To relieve from tension or strain.

Really how does one truly achieve relaxation in everyday life.  If you do a Google search and everyone has an opinion.  Back to my question - how do we achieve this, especially in our work life.  I'm surrounded by over worked completely stressed people!!  The those vibrations knock you over as soon as you walk in the place. This doesn't mean that people are nice or genuine or that they are not smiling - it's just time to relax.
Should I search for a relaxed job?
Should I read articles on nutrition and relaxation - will that make me more relaxed?
There are songs about relaxing...
Websites on relax the back, the mind, the eye, the ear... how do you relax an ear (shrugging shoulders).

So is the more realistic view of this boiling down to - It's all about perspective?  hmmm I do think it is.  So my mom's suggestion to just relax, is it really that simple?

It's the little things

Check out Blackle.com for more information.  The short of it - this saves energy one webpage at a time.  Every little bit helps!

My time without the internet

I have to admit, I'm more plugged in then I thought or will verbally admit.  We recently lost (or otherwise sold to another company) our ISP without notice.  This is the opportive word - without notice, as the provider only sent an email to the ISP email - who uses an ISP email these days??  Anyone who knows better - doesn't.  Enough ranting...  We were just shy of 2 weeks without service and this was 2 weeks too long.  I've learned a very valuable lesson through all of this... always have a back up means to access the internet and when shopping around, make sure you know their means of communication.  Our current service has a 24 hour 'service' friendly number to call.  I've made approximately 6 calls and so far, I'm impressed - I'm hoping that it stays that way for a very long time.

At the very start...

At the start of it all... there must be a place to put down those little ideas and thoughts.  I hope that my journey (here) on "Little Takes on Life" will some how bring something into your journey.
Cheers!
